I like magic better than technology because I prefer fantasy, but I like it when the magic actually has to be learned and there character doesn't just automatically know how to use it. And magic systems where things can be built using magic or other complex systems where there are different types of magic that can be combined for example are great. I love when characters have to actually use their minds to use the magic.
