I agree that it's important to have media that shows a range of how characters express themselves. Some people are stoic, some people are expressive, and that's cool. There are lots of ways that people can deal with feelings that doesn't preclude you from being a good person.

This is a pet peeve of mine, and I'm probably reading too much into this but I don't like how the secret implies that emotional is the opposite of logical. Emotion and logic are super intertwined in the brain and hard to separate. I think it's a pretty harmful false dichotomy of separating people into emotional or logical.

No, you're right on target. Your messy, emotional types can still be logical, and plenty of cooler, undemonstrative people couldn't logic their way out of a wet paper bag.
