Are those thick bandanas? If not do you layer up? If they're too thin a couple layers could make a life saving difference

Yeah they're a thick material and are pretty long (can cover my neck) - the doctor I talked to a while ago said that they should be alright as an alternative so I've taken his word for it so far.
