Tagging fic is and will always be a courtesy, not a requirement. It amazes me just how spoiled so many people have grown online, expecting everyone else to cater to their browsing experience down to the tiniest detail.

okay but like... don't pout when people don't read it
because you're not telling people what's there, so the people who like that stuff won't find it

It'd be weird to pout over obscure tags that likely wouldn't have generated many views in the first place. That's the problem: spoiled brats expecting every tiny little detail of a fic to be tagged when these same tags won't even be used often enough to warrant their inclusion. If publishing fanfiction online is merely a numbers game (it is for some writers and isn't for others), said obscure tags are cared about by such a small fraction of people that they are ultimately inconsequential.
