I’m not familiar with the source material, so was he a bad guy or a “good” guy that wasn’t actually good? I wonder if maybe OP was trying to say that the source material would’ve been more interesting from his POV.

Someone shouldn't have used a pic of old, entirely evil Snow if they wanted people to remember that there's a prequel and that he may have once had a moral.

dictator. no one in that book is particularly compelling so, sure, it would have been interesting to see the evil regime's side of the story. don't see what is complex about him, but katniss is your average emotionally stunted heroine so maybe in comparison...

In the prequel he’s an antihero.
