I really need to give Xena a rewatch because I saw the original run in the 90's and have thus forgotten a great deal of it.

But from what I can recall, my child self would always go wild whenever it was a crossover episode with Hercules and i was also thrilled whenever Ares would appear.

This is honestly my first time watching Xena. (I made the comment around the my first introduction to Lao Ma, and have been straggling since due to my love for her.)
I love Hercules as well, but it isn't being broadcasted right now on my local channels, so I've barely caught any of his episodes despite the correlation between his show and Xena's.
The crossover episodes are pretty much my favourite as well! Autolycus is my all time favourite character so I was always looking forward for him especially! <3

I'm in the same boat -- have you ever seen the animated crossover adventure, Attack or Revenge of the Titans? The opening scene is a musical number!

I too loved it when they crossed over and anytime Ares showed up (I really did love him, especially as time went on).
