nayrt - That's a good start. The etiquette between men and women and between different social classes can be more complicated, but also interesting. The Regency period doesn't seem like ancient history, but it's surprising how different some of the customs were. Even something as basic as "when do people eat meals" is so different. Jane Austen didn't really go into a lot of detail about this kind of thing, as she assumed her audience would know.
