Oh yeah. When I was wrapping up WIPs in the last fandom I was "serious" about, I was avoiding a number of things I thought I could get fannish about, because I didn't want to get all fired up about something new ( which generally leads to loss of interest in the old.)

Some people can be intense about a lot of fandoms at once. I'm not one of them.
