What kills me is when I was growing up, minors would just get kicked out of the fandom altogether if anyone found out they were underage. It's why so many of us either outright lied or simply never revealed any sort of personal information. I have no idea what all of this catering to kids is and it's really weird how children are allowed to bully adults so casually and so many people are fine with it.
