101. Oh man, I know how you feel. Princess Tutu is my current main fandom, and it seems like most people in it only ship one or two of the canon pairings and nothing else. And it's so shippable!! And I love, like, almost all of the possible ships and even a few impossible ones!

147. I think that it could be a really interesting ship. (Particularly since it was recently revealed that he was in love with her mother...) I don't really ship anything in that comic yet, but I could totally see shipping that. I'd read fic of it.

175. Those are some amazing VAs you have on that list! \o/ (Chris Patton is one of my favorites!) I agree that people should at least give them a chance. Although I totally understand having different preferences and all, and there's some amazing voice actors in Japan, as well. I just think that acting talent crosses national boundries.
I have to ask, though...where are the female actresses? No Carrie Savage, Luci Christian, Monica Rial? Not even Wendee Lee? The gals need love, too.

Monica Rial is one my favourite VAs, I swear. TY for bringing that up - I really didn't even notice.

You're welcome! Monica Rial is one of my favorites, too. I got to see her at a con a few months ago and she was just so sweet and bubbly.

Really? That's so cool! I'm sure she was! I remember listening to her commentary on the Gunslinger Girl dvd and she just seemed so nice and down-to-earth. It's cool to get further confirmation of it. ^^

Yes, that's the impression I got, too. I mean, they're actors, so I suppose there's always a chance that it's just, well, acting, but it didn't really seem like that to me. I was dressed up as Chrono (from Chrono Crusade) one day at the con, and the day after I wore his wig with a maid oufit (....inside joke with me and a friend), and when I got her autograph she said to me "You have the nicest costumes!" and then she signed "Maids rule!" on the Fiore picture I brought for her to sign. XD it was so awesome.

Chris Patton was there, too...they kept running around the con together. Like big balls of energy.

Wow, she actually said that! That's so cool~ Haha, "maids rule!" They really do tho - I've always wanted to cosplay as one. And Chris Patton was there too?! I love him! They're both ADV actors, right? Then they probably know each other fairly well, considering how often both of them are cast in ADV productions. I know Chris is really, really hyper though in real life - like Vic Mignogna - so I'm sure they must have been fun to see.
Ah, well to be fair, voice actors usually seem to be pretty nice folks.

I know! I was so surprised I don't think I really came up with an intelligent response. ^^; Yeees, it was a lot of fun to do. I think next year I'm going to go to a con actually dressed as Fiore, so I get to be an actual maid...instead of a guy dressed in drag. He was! He's my favorite, so I was thrilled to death. Yup, they're both ADV. Monica does some work for Funimation, too. (And Chris has in the past, although he doesn't currently. He mentioned at the con that he was hoping to start working for them again, though.) Chris was sooo hyper. I mean, I sorta knew he was, but I don't know if I expected how hyper he'd be. He's the sort of person that likes to say whatever's on their mind, too, so he was pretty hilarious. ...Actually, Vic was there, too. And Caitlin Glass. And Wendy Powell...over all we had a reeeeeally hyper group of guests. It was great fun.

Yeah, I think so. When you think about it, they work really hard and they don't get paid all that much, so it's not really the sort of thing you get a big head over generally, I think. In general they seem much more down-to-earth than the stereotypical actor.

Ha, I'm sure she understood. I think if I ever cosplayed as a maid, I would probably base my outfit off of Mine from Fruits Basket - her dresses are intricate and so pretty~ Wooow, that's quite a list - I'd love to go to a con with a line-up like that! Just watching the video with the majority of the Naruto dub cast was hilarious. Hmm, Funimation has some good shows...

You're right. It's a real shame that the American VA business isn't anywhere near what it is in Japan. Still with anime's growing popularity, things will probably get better for them - salary-wise anyway.
And in addition to what you said, regular actors have certain images to maintain as well so that probably has a lot to do with it.

Ooooh, Mine would be awesome to cosplay as sometime! Particularly if you had an Ayame with you. I know, I was thrilled! NDK--the con we have here in Denver--seems sort of small, but they always manage to get good guests. I've been pretty pleased every year I've gone. Yeah, Funimation's been getting a lot of the good stuff recently--particularly with them picking up some of the licenses Geneon and ADV lost.

I hope so. They must love what they do to work so hard at it. I sort of find it inspiring when I see people working hard at what they love, even if it doesn't pay the best--particularly when it comes to people who are artists of some sort. It gives me some courage to try for my dreams, too.
Oh, that's definitely true. I know that I went to some panel once--I forget who it was--that an actor said you have to be easy to work with and well mannered and such, or you'll have a hard time getting cast again.

You're right! I mean, it'd be fun alone but with an Ayame, things would be ten times better. Ha, gotta see if I can make my way down to that con sometime then - NDK, I'll keep that in mind. Oh, they're getting ADV and Geneon's former titles? Then no wonder. Those companies get some of the most interesting shows...

I know exactly how you feel. Because it shows just how dedicated they are to their craft and how much they love what they're doing that the money doesn't even matter (much). Well, anything that inspires you to follow your dreams is fine by me. ^^
Too true - voice actors can't go around pulling any diva acts. The VA business is so small - word would definitely get around and then they'd be out of a job.

Thanks! Maybe I'll write it. Though I don't want to ruin GC with over-shipping and just enjoy the story as is, it makes me happy that other people could get into this.

I know what you mean about the over-shipping, but from what I've seen the fandom's pretty cool. ^^ Plus, I think if you're thinking about that you're not just being a crazy fangirl. (And you can't have fandom without a little shipping. Let's face it, it's fun!)
