Bonus secret? i'm actually a member of Vic's fanclub, the Risembool Rangers. (i also belong to the fangroups for Chris Patton, Steve Blum, Lex Lang, Jeff Nimoy and Chris Ayres.)

i like some of the man's work (Ed Elric, Takenaga Oda from Wallflower...), and he's nice in person (and he gives great hugs), but... he's kind of a pain, wanting his fans to be Christians, bashing yaoi/yuri, that kind of thing. i joined before i knew about those things... plus he actually hurt me pretty bad by denouncing me being for being Catholic in front of a group of the other members (in a fucking BIBLE STUDY no less). he has no idea that it was me though :P we met at a convention and he was nice as could be.

he doesn't deserve to be grouped with the wonderful men in my secret. not even close.

The sad part is that I don't really have anything in particular against the man (alleged behavior aside; I've never met him) or with his work except for how there are so many, many VAs out there with more talent than I ever has heard him display. But I can't watch any dubs in which he has major parts, because (unimpressive performances aside) hearing his voice reminds me of all the mindless fangirling and the mostly undserved praise and the mind-shattering amount of people who fail to realize that "voicing the main character of the most popular anime in histry" =/= "being the best voice actor the dubbing industry ever saw". The only part where I don't mind his voice is as Fay in Tsubasa, because both the dub and the show are so mediocre that it's impossible to take them completely seriously.
