Snow didn’t need a bigger and better story either, and yet here we are.

People are invested in different characters than you are. Why is this so hard for you to understand?

Snow was the antagonist/villain, not a side character, so not at all comparable. And no, he didn't need a bigger story either. He got one because the author decided she wanted to give him one, not because fans whined about it.

Being invested in or a fan of a random side character does not somehow validate irrational feelings of anger at the author for not doing more with them.
