What about sketching out scenes for whatever story you're writing? Sort of like a storyboard?

(Not necessarily for posting; more just to keep in practice and keep both parts of your creativity engaged?)

Sometimes the way the writing changes just doesn't jive with you and that's okay. I'm mainly a fan of the show from Nine onwards, but I have been watching the classic episodes and had an issue where I liked the show all through Three's run and struggled to get through a good chunk of Four's run because I just wasn't a fan of a lot of it. Ironically, I seemed to have issues with all the episodes that other fans were saying had the best writing, but they just didn't jive with me. I'm on Five's run now and have been enjoying it so far.
