Yeah, it felt entirely like "the series is ending, we've got to pair everyone up in a M/F couple" sort of thing.

Also Ezri getting together with Bashir felt like it shit on the Bashir and Jadzia friendship -- and if it was meant to suggest that she was into Bashir all along, then that takes a dump on Jadzia and Worf. DNW.)
