Honestly it depends for me. Sometimes I'm just in the mood for that kind of stuff. And honestly most of the time I love skip-the-foreplay sex in fics. Just, characters so turned on and hot for each other they just want to fuck and don't need build up. Sometimes it seems odd when the sex goes on and on and the characters keep switching positions, like, I thought they were too hot to wait, so how is it taking this long to come? But I love fast and quick sex fics. And come shots can be hot too, depending on the fic (my absolute favorite Kylo/Hux fic for example).

Then again, I like porn too. Some porn, anyway. I don't need realism necessarily in my PWP fics.

Yes, I tend to agree, especially when it comes to PWP. Other times, as often is the case with porn, I just think "ouch, that had to hurt. Let them at least 'warm up' a BIT" or "yep, sure, they're definitely coming after one and a half thrusts, I really believe that orgasm is real."

That said, some of the best sex scenes I've ever read have been super vague and ~fade to black style.

So, it definitely depends. I think at the end of the day, the quality of the writing matters more than the content.
