173. I don't know you, and you could be writing a genuine masterpiece, but your secret made me snort in derision. Actually, all these secrets featuring people who confess to writing a book for their potential fandom make me laugh at them. Your priorities are skewed. Focus on creating a work of quality, not on the adulation of squeeing fans, for fuck's sake.

Also, I love that "when the book is published..." You mean, published by an actual publishing company? With an editor? You sure about that?

I made my secret short because I don't like novel-length secrets myself, but I guess that's how I came off because of it. True, people writing books just because of fandom also grate my nerves, especially when they talk about how fabulous it is nonstop.

That said, I don't intend to write the book itself for the sake of fandom, but fandom or not, the idea of watching the hypothetical reaction to the twincest element amuses me greatly, mostly because of all the wank in fandoms across the GLOBE when incest is mentioned.

That and books don't seem to get fandoms unless they are HUGEly popular (Twilight, Harry Potter) so it baffles me that people even think about future fandoms for their books.
