I didn't really feel like they were bashing Hetalia. One secret was just like, "Hey guys I tried to like it I really did, but I just couldn't get myself to like it, sorry" and the other one just said, "I hate Hetalia." That's hardly fandom-bashing.

Seriously, I keep wondering who has a friends list who will be that offended if you say you don't like a fandom. GET NEW FRIENDS.

...though, to be fair, I did have some Supernatural fans who had me friended on my old journal, and I was piss-scared of angering them somehow, but that's because that fandom terrifies me as a whole.

Very true. However, most, if not all, people in Hetalia fandom actually recognize that it's a completely ridiculous gag comic, and not serious business in the least. It's only the outside-fandom bashers who take it seriously enough to be offended by it. I assume that most of these people doing the bashing, if they gave the comic itself a chance instead of judging it by the kinkmeme (which is a really fucking stupid way to judge a fandom, BTW), they'd see it's meant to be humorous, fun, and lighthearted for the most part.
