Well, in-game, Sheik used magic and transformed into Zelda towards the end. Which leads me to believe that Sheik is, indeed, male.

But idk. This whole Sheik-Zelda thing has been debated about forever. It's really interesting to see just how adamant people are about Sheik being a girl, even when Sheik looks just like a man in OOT.

Ah. See, that makes more sense to me. Because even in the manga Sheik looked, well, not like Zelda in drag. But then Link had to carry "him" Link was all, "Wow, he's light," and blah, blah. So, they kinda implied that it might just be a disguise. And I just kinda wondered how that was even possible.

Honestly, though. No matter how you slice it, Link/Sheik IS Linka/Zelda. GET OVER IT, FANDOM.

It isn't really properly explained, but Shiek is a Shiekah disguise and presumeably Zelda learned it from Impa, so I would imagine it's some kind of ancient ninja secret. Whether or not she's physically a man is still up in the air.

You've got it backwards. Zelda used magic to transform into Shiek in order to evade Ganondorf, and turned back into her normal form at the end. People are adamant about it because it's canon.
