Re: What Automatically Puts You In A Good Mood?

When someone else's pet, like a dog tied in front of a store or in a fenced yard, or a cat on a stoop or hiding under a car, approaches me and lets me pet them. I love when my cat sits on my lap or my hens follow me around, but with other people's animals it feels like an achievement.

Feeding people.

Helping people find info they really want/need.

Rambling on about my special interests/obsessions.

Nature walks/hikes, especially near fresh water. Seeing/catching frogs on said hikes. Seeing wild animals in general.

Late winter/early spring, when most native plants bloom here and we get rain and everything is green for awhile.

Dressing up and giving out candy on Halloween. Halloween in general. (This year's is gonna suck, sigh.)

Making people laugh.

Giving people gifts, especially things they really like/want.

Buying stuff, which I really need to work on. I'd rather be happy with what I already have. But being able to buy stuff that I couldn't have afforded even a few years ago is nice. I don't even make a ton of money, I just finally have a full time job. And it doesn't make me happy, but it helps that now stuff like small house repairs and vet bills don't automatically equal panic stations.
