- "I need a 'date' to an event and there's free food, wanna come?" as an introduction to the conversation of how they feel about each other.
- Questioning Bi Guy flat asks Gay Guy for advice and resources on coming out, "as a friend" - also starts that conversation.
- 'Joking' kissing under mistletoe or at New Year's.
- "Hey, what's your type?" / Description turns out to be a lot like BFF.
- They both separately confide in a third party, who eventually cannot take the frustration any more and Takes Steps...
