I woke up early this morning, watched the Tour de France, and worked out. I showered and dressed and Doordashed some boba tea. Now I'm watching the Appalachian State/Marshall football game. I'll watch football for the rest of the afternoon, and for dinner tonight I'm making chicken with garlic spinach. And now I'm going outside to smoke a bowl on my patio.

Long covid anon here. Now I might have a blood clot in my lung. I'm terrified but also just tired. So fucking tired.

Next week marks 6 months since I first got sick.

Oof. I'm sorry, that sucks. I wish COVID only infected people who act like it's no big deal. I hope there's more effective treatments out soon.

Still upset from last night, so trying to take my mind off things, mostly. Debating what to make for lunch/dinner. I kind of want to get really into a book and just spend the next several hours reading but 2 out of the 4 books I'm currently reading are pretty political, and the other two aren't the type of thing I can get really immersed in...maybe I'll have to start something else even though I feel like 4 is already too many.

I didn't sleep, like, at all last night and I think I hit that stage where you can't FEEL how tired you are but it's affecting you badly. In ways that are not obvious to you because you are sleep deprived. I say this because I feel ALMOST fine and logically speaking I shouldn't be.

But then again in the past I have commented things like "I didn't manage to sleep until 5-6am" and had people be shocked because I seemed fine.

I wound up playing a lot of Don't Starve today. First time in years, and I think I am doing better than I did when I used to play Don't Starve Together all the time! I might make it to winter for once.

I went for a nice 30-minute walk - first walk I've really gone on since the smoke cleared up around here, so it was nice - and then I ate an edible and now I'm just chilling

Wallowing and moping, mostly. I have stuff to do, but I just need a day to do nothing much, especially after yesterday.

I slept in. Well, I got up at 8 to feed the kitty because she came in and asked very nicely, then went back to bed and slept until 12:30. I did some cleaning in my room.

Mostly I've been listening to music on Youtube in my bed since I've got a headache and just want to be alone.

I was a bit torn a few months ago about not being invited to my cousin's wedding (nothing malicious, just a small wedding) because I was a bit miffed about it on principle but at the same time glad because I don't much like weddings and wouldn't have wanted to go anyway. The wedding is today and my parents went because they were invited and I'm so incredibly glad I don't have to be there because I'm in a lot of pain right now and probably would have had to cancel which would have been awfully awkward and rude.

I'm thinking about making a donation to the local synagogue in memory of RBG. I don't know if that would be weird. I'm not Jewish, but I have Jewish ancestors, and I like the local synagogue, and I'm feeling very sad and frightened by RBG's passing, and I don't have very much money but I don't know what to do and I'm not sure who I can talk to about how I feel and it's all just a bit much and I think I need to keep off Twitter today

I don't think that's weird. I think that'd be a very generous gesture, and I imagine the synagogue would appreciate all the support they can get :).

I know there are other sites out there that are trying to raise funds to fight what the GOP is doing. There's this from ActBlue as well (who, I've heard, has received a shitton of donations in the last 24 hours or so)-you could donate to this, too, if you wanted, or, if you still want to support the synagogue, you can pass this link on to other people who might want to help as well.

I think these kinds of responses are the main thing that's helping me feel a little better about this insanity-this is definitely lighting a fire under the left (and they've already been pretty motivated as it is to get Trump the fuck out of here), so if all of this further helps get out the vote and makes it much easier for Trump to get trounced in November, all the better.

I reread an old favorite fanfic of one of my favorite ships. With the nostalgic lens, it was enjoyable.

I nearly forgot that I became friends with the writer after reading that fic, until we had a falling out a few years ago.

Been trying to kill of this cold I have and hoping that it's just a cold and not the virus (I had a sore throat and headache two days ago, but after using a load of home remedies and drinking a crapton of water I don't have either of those things now, but still a runny nose which is making me paranoid). It kind of pisses me off because the only time I've been out recently was to go get a flu jab and I don't know if that's the reason I got ill, or if it's just time for my throat to go to crap since I usually get ill at this time of year so idk.
