Maybe start an ace multifandom rec collection on AO3 and an ace community for encouraging ace fanworks? Gather other ace writers, artists, and reccers to make an ace movement grow within fandom...more visibility will mean more fanworks. When people perceive a trend they will want to create for the trend. Do ace challenges with specific prompts...hate to love, nonsexual cuddle challenge, etc.

If people want more of any particular kind of fic, it is important to be proactive in getting it. It shouldn't ever be a matter of 'There should be less of (A)' but rather 'Let's work together to get more of (B)'.

Everyone can have their cake and eat it too. People that enjoy NSFW get to keep their Explicit materials and people who want Gen get more Gen. Win-win for all.

That's a good idea, and probably something I should look into, but my annoyance was more at all the people telling me that shipping ISN'T all about sex and I was just pretending it was to feel special, when it very clearly is.
