That is one way of looking at things.

I look at the current situation as an opportunity for America to do something, to get the fuck out of this hole. To stop looking inward, to understand their actions affect the rest of the damn world. Of course, there is no guarantee how things out either way. I want to fight though. I want to fight for this democracy and our rights.

I'd suspected things would get worse before they got better. But the fact that Trump and GOP are getting shittier by the day also reveals their desperation. I expect they'll go supernova before January 20... or fizzle out like a bad fart. I'm hoping for the latter, but I'd like to be prepared for the former.

But regardless of what happens here, if you truly feel you are in danger, then I agree you should seek asylum. I don't have any ideas, though. (I know, not helpful)

I want to fight, but I have 0 hopes of actually winning, and I do want to live.

I don't see them being shittier as them being desperate, but that they feel they can afford to do these things. They're emboldened because they see no one stopping them. So they feel they can do these things.
