Buffy/Tara was my fluff ship from that fandom. I sort of love them as Dawn's guardians and each other's support system.

But yeah, any Buffy/male is somewhat bad. Except for maybe poetry guy from the early seasons?

Not really, just cause she dies and is a slayer doesn't mean she's unshippable.

More that every popular Buffy ship is equally problematic for various reasons. If you're holding out for a fluffy Buffy ship, you're going to either have to ignore huge chunks of canon or invent an OC, so ship whatever you want and ignore the haters.
