N!S 1: I don't know why you've got Shawn/Gus as your main pairing there. We've pretty adequately established that they're too interracial PERFECT JUST AS FRIENDS for anybody to ship them.

But srsly, friend!shipping usually has way more of a basis in canon than enemy!shipping, barring certain fandoms. It's not hard to see "omg they're being cute together!" and interpret it as a potentially romantic relationship.
