123. Some people like the same things we do for different reasons. I tend to go for 'canon' pairings, if there's such a thing? Or at least support the relationships that are based on actual historical connotations. Most of the people I've talk to from the fandom, do too. Sometimes though? Asking might be the solution. That being said, I'm just so tired from all the commotion in this fandom lately here. I feel like I'm the only one who thinks this fandom is wonderful.

133. A place like that would be wonderful. Somewhere where art comes before the content... but actually, fandom in per se hates Y!Gal for the most pat because of the mods, D!A for the popularity whoring... guess the only real alternative is a private portfolio.

Mhmm! :D Exactly! I expected some huge wave of offensive material to be thrown at me, and none of it was. It's really light hearted and fun, and even when things get into serious stuff people tend to respect that and treat it with the seriousness it deserves.

Well, why thank you! ♥ A welcome is always nice! And really, I mean, I can understand why somebody would be offended at first, but if they actually read what it was all about I don't see how!

Aww, the secrets are probably made by the same few people, I really don't see how there can be that much hate for it. (hey, at least we're not the twilight fandom. lol.)

You aren't the only one. Actually, kink meme aside, I haven't seen much pure romance fics in the comm. Actually, I'm sorta surprised you're likely to see a gen fic than a pairing fic. It seems it's less about pairing than character loving, if I'm making sense.

Indeed. Most of the fics I found were not romance oriented, but representations of a historical event. Somebody the other day said that they're glad the wank this fandom has is all external, and it really is true. Most of what I've seen inside of it is thoughtful and constructive. :) (Minus the kink meme, apparently. But even there, from the little I've seen of it, there seem to be writers who did their homework...).

I'm frequent on it too. I think Snover even has me on his watchlist, because eh eventually favs something. ^^; But once I did get accused of tracing, which baffled me (I know it's their word against mine) and I never got an explanation so that left a bitter note. But since then I don't think I ever had any problems with either site. I was basing my assumptions on the fact that a lot of, so called, BNFs (if you will), are leaving it.

My urge for a new site is neither the mods nor the popularity sell-out, but a place for a new challenge. On neither site I get enough constructive criticism to improve anymore.

But maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree. To me it's improvement and technique first, slash later. X_X; I'm not being elitist, I just really need to get better and stop stalling...

I've heard about ConceptArt, but that place looks scary...
