155: I'm not sure of the creators have specifically said it's not, but the fact that both Zuko and Katara end up WITH OTHER PEOPLE kinda indicates they don't think it is...

The annoying thing is, yeah, I can get behind non-canon pairings, too, but some of Zutarans are so annoying that I can't appreciate the pairing at all... I just have an automatic revulsion to it.

It's probably a good thing i haven't interacted with the fandom much, so whenever I get around to watching the show I won't be too tainted by that. XD; (...Of course, f!s might change that.)

Yeah. I think going into a show like Avatar knowing as little as possible is a good thing. Of course, I followed it from the beginning, so I was in the position by circumstance rather than choice. I'm glad for it, though. I'm terrible about spoiling myself, and sometimes that's ok, and sometimes I'm even glad for it, but there are times I regret it (like knowing the big secret in Empire Strikes Back before I saw the film).

(Yup, Bryan and Mike said the 'dark and intriguing' in an interview or something. It actually made me squee, as a katara/zuko shipper)

On an odd level I don't ship Katara/Zuko
...but then I realized in Bleach verse I kind of do, being that Nnoitra is an angsty self hating hollow who finds himself to be beyond salvation and Nell is the kind woman who treated him harshly but tried to teach him, and even though he betrayed her she eventually forgave him........

.........yup. NnoiNel = Zutara....I don't know how to feel about that. O__O

Hmm.. I like Nnoinel, actually. (It's easy to ship left and right in Bleach). I never look too much into it though (and I haven't drawn any comparison to Avatar ships either)

I guess, shipping Katara/Zuko is just.. fun. Really fun. So many materials, possibilities- it's like a goddamn Willy Wonka factory down there.

Oh, and the ship itself in canon- well, the platonic relationship (so everyone won't get mad) was just perfect. Not too much, not too little- they have a lot of material but not 'set in stone' enough to become boring.

I look at it in that way and I'm reminded of NnoiNel. *grins*

Well see, I love Maiko. I don't like any other avatar ship BUT Maiko. Thus I don't ship Zutara...I would for fun if ..I didn't get bashed all the time.

But NnoiNel is totally my ship! I run the comm, write the fanfictions...so of course I compare it to a lot xD

Well that's nice! I saw the comm, but I haven't join yet :D

Don't worry- I'm a goddamn multishipper. I ship all of Zutara, Jetara, Toko, Soko, Jinko- all in the same time. I used to ship Maiko (come on, that crush and the fountain was adorable!) in book 2- and then book 3 happened, I had to hunt a comic and I gradually lost interest.

You got bashed? Ah, imagine the life of us, the delusionals that are not worthy enough to have an opinion in the general community just because we're shipping the 'bad' ship. *sighs*
