(Anonymous) 2008-12-23 05:58 am (UTC)(link)It's the attitude I've gotten through these weyrs that make me not even want to bother with some of the other characters I've thought up. Not wanting to hand out golds like candy makes sense. Vilifying a person because they want to play a gold is just not necessary.
I'd love if you could post some links to places... I've never RPed before (largely because of this issue, which I've let leak over into my feelings about RP in general). Even the non-canon ones, if the people are better.
I really do want to try this character out. Maybe I'll find a place eventually.

The attitude is really pretty crappy, I'll agree with that. I'm very fortunate to have a place where all kinds of characters are welcomed, though most people will vilify queen hunters. The only thing I can say is let people know that you're open to playing things besides gold.

And if you can't find a place, like I said, I'd play with you if you don't mind some one-on-one. Or you can just vent at me about the people you find on your search.

And yay! I mean, don't get me wrong, there are some great traditional sites out there, but the majority of good ones are a bit elitist. Though once you get in good, everything's great.
