Transformation is Jack Chalker's thing so I assume so?

I looked over the Well World series synopsis, and I think my reaction only backs up OP's secret about being secretly ashamed to see anybody else sharing the same kink (even though I don't consider it a kink on my end because I'm ace) as me. I came here to maybe disagree with OP's point, but instead I only had it verified on my end...

Apologies to Jack Chalker, he has nothing to be ashamed of tbh. This is just a 'me' feeling.

IDK

Maybe my reaction is shaped by RPGs, where the whole "Magical Realm" concept of a DM centering a non-erotic campaign around their fetishes is a major taboo. But it does seem to me like Chalker is doing something genuinely annoying. Not because there's something intrinsically shameful about his kink or his fascination, but because he's putting those in a SF book series marketed towards a general public that might not be interested in Jack Chalker's Transformation Adventures.

Really, the best way to address this problem would be an AO3-style tagging infrastructure for books so that people could get a heads up of what was going on. Clearer labeling.
