Nope, you're not the only one! And personally speaking, I get those feelings at other times too. Like I'll be cutting vegetables and just think, what if I stabbed myself in the chest with this knife? And then I roll my eyes at myself because I would never in a million years do that, but my brain thinks these hypotheticals are amusing or something, lol.

Oh, and I used to live in San Francisco and would walk the Golden Gate Bridge pedestrian track every so often. They have people on the bridge to watch for actual jumpers (it is unfortunately a problem there), and I was walking along one afternoon, and I stopped and was staring out at the ocean, having all kinds of those "what would it be like to jump" thoughts, with absolutely zero intention of actually doing so. It was...absurd? I guess, that's the feeling I was getting. Anyway, one of the people who watches for suicidal people came over to me and asked if I was okay. Yes, I was fine, I said. I didn't say that I was simply in my head with the call of the void. And I stayed away from the bridge for awhile after that, kind of embarrassed lol.
