If someone's mean to Eeyore, you think the story's bad? Something like that?

OP of secret

I don't think it's bad per se.

It's just that Eeyore is very much my favourite, and he kinda gets the dirty end of the stick sometimes. There's probably some projection going on, but I have definite feelings about Eeyore being left out in the woods for three days looking for Small Black Beetle because nobody bothered to tell him that the beetle had been found, etc. etc.

I feel like there's a range, imo. Sometimes they're very supportive, sometimes it's mostly confused and/or dismissive. But I've never actually noticed any meanness except for Tigger who is more oblivious to other people's feelings than anything else and Rabbit, who is unfortunately superior in attitude.

Rabbit was always a dick. I never liked him. Notice how he was all "they're different, get rid of them" with Kanga and Roo and Tigger.

Yeah, Tigger's just clueless, rather than actively unpleasant, but Rabbit is a dick.

Tigger at least tries to be friendly.

Lovely picture. DO you know, I hadn't realised that there were now colourised pictures of the original b&w. I can see I'm going to have to treat myself this Christmas.

Also, I have a lot more sympathy for Eeyore now than I did as a child, so that's a good point.

Though personality-wise, I am definitely a Tigger, I always adored Eeyore most in the stories. So I totally get where you're coming from, nonny. Eeyore deserves all the love.

Also, my grumpy elder rescue dog's nickname is Eeyore. For multiple reasons.

Same!

They always seemed mostly nice to him, to me - he was always included, even if he was being grumpy or super-depressed.

My favorite was and is Piglet, though, even though I do like Eeyore.

Aw, this picture. *Hugs Eeyore*

Thanks for making my secret!
