This isn't to say that this is okay, but I'm not really surprised to find that out about anyone with a show named after themselves. Like the ego was already on display...

Talk shows being named after the host is normal, and her sitcom wasn't originally named after her (the original title was "These Friends of Mine" but they changed it to avoid confusion with Friends), so this seems like a strange thing to pick out as a problem

The host doesn't choose the name, dude. And it's chosen because it's easy to remember and marketable.

LOL. This is normal for daytime talk shows. Ellen didn't march into the TV studio and announce that she was naming the show after herself.
