TRANSCRIPT

Although there are definitely pairings I don't really care for and elements I wish had been explored/dealt with more in-depth, I was still pretty much cool with the way the manga resolved everything.

I was reading it at a time when I was both roughly at the same age of the teen characters and struggling with depression/a deeply dysfunctional family myself. A lot of the emotional issues that the characters were dealing with felt very relatable, and seeing that EVERYONE was somehow able to begin healing and reconciling, and find love/family that would care about them and accept them was very therapeutic for me.

I don't honestly care about the not-the-best-idea pairings/not-very-thoroughly-dealt-with elements compared to the way the manga series felt like an emotional lifeline of hope (unrealistic or not) for me. I really hope this new anime gets to finish the story. Maybe it'll even give me the more in-depth outro I'd like.
