I feel you. I've got two long fics, one finished and one WIP, that could EASILY be turned into their own thing, but the idea of doing so... I don't know, it's something I feel conflicted about. There's so much I don't WANT to change.

One is a weird AU for a thing that's already not well-known, I literally wouldn't need to change the character's names for them to go unrecognized, I'd just have to remove the canon events. The other is based on characters who have so little about them in canon that I'm basically writing original characters as it is. But like... I'm still connected to a canon world, and while most of those elements aren't important to this story, or would be easy to write out, I don't know.

I get feeling weird about it, like... knowing you COULD but not knowing if you really WANT to.
