I think it's frustrating because Thirteen is shown as mainly indulging in same-sex relationships as a destructive thing, whereas her romance with Foreman is seen as stable. I don't know if they intended it to come off as lesbian sex=for bad girls, straight sex=for well-adjusted girls, but it does.

Honestly. They gave us this deep relationship that she found with another woman - yes, it started as shallow and meaningless, but still - and then they never resolved it. Instead they just said "Moving on."

And I don't mind the fact that she moved on to Foreman. I just don't like the fact that whenever she's with a girl, it's a plot device and, yes, self-destructive as you said. And they expect us to take her and Foreman seriously? I'm sorry. But they're giving "bisexual" a negative connotation in how they're handling her relationships.

See, THAT'S a valid criticism. The OP's "bi doesn't mean you like girls one week and boys the next"? Um, it can. Don't tell me what being bi means. Don't tell ANYONE what their sexuality is "supposed to" mean.
