I couldn't say whether she's doing it in others' personal journals, but she's been doing it in various communities for the past couple months, to the point where it's just gotten to be annoying. She does rant in her own journal; the problem is that she insists on ranting everywhere else too.

Inviting herself into other people's threads to post an off topic rant (and honestly, it doesn't matter what the off topic rant is) is just pure wankery. I was thrown by the fact that the OP mentioned that the subject was Torchwood, so I assumed this was happening in non-fandom or multi-fandom forums rather than just on Torchwood communities.

But while I'm in the torchwood fandom, I'm not that deeply into it. I've never encountered this person. Maybe I should be grateful.

I wouldn't make the assumption that she likes the pairing, but I would make the assumption that she thinks strangers care that she doesn't. That's pure fanbrat logic.

I'm just starting to get into the Torchwood fandom, and I've seen her an annoying amount constantly mentioning how much she hates J/I. Even bragging about the existence badfic like that proves her point or something.

I've no problem with her not shipping it, I just wish she'd shut up.

Sorry about earlier. I assumed this was a chat room problem. Dynamics among friends in a chatroom are very different from those among strangers in fandom community.
