My issue with the actress is that in S1, she looks eerily like my niece - so I can't watch the show without bawling my eyes out because I'm projecting. I still haven't made it past the first couple of episodes.

But yeah, definitely didn't need a darker take on it.

Heh, that was my problem with End of the F***ing World. The girl in that looks almost exactly like my niece.
