I think the actress is quite attractive, has convincingly played a young girl and will be able to move onto playing a young woman.
To be honest, I cannot actually...picture Gilbert/the actor at all. He's just sort of a dark-haired blur. I was never all that invested in him, anway.

(Anonymous) 2020-09-29 02:29 am (UTC)(link)"She was certainly very pretty, with a vivid, irregular, bewitching type of prettiness. There was a gloss as of brown nuts on her satin-smooth hair and a soft, ripe glow on her round cheeks. Her eyes were big and brown and velvety, under oddly-pointed black brows, and her crooked mouth was rose-red."
In comparison, Anne has red hair (which was not necessarily thought to be attractive) and a pale, freckled complexion. She thinks of herself as plain, but is described as "beautiful, slender and starry-eyed". However, she earns herself a devoted following at Redmond and Philippa remarks upon how - in the right mood - Anne far outshines her in a way that's got nothing to do with how she's dressed.
