sucks that the mangaka’s awful, but Rurouni Kenshin had a pretty decent ending despite lasting nearly thirty volumes.

Ugh. I didn't ever get to finish it (the anime, I was going to pick up the manga but I never did). And knowing what I know now I don't think I want to.

I did start reading Red River because I think the premise was a something of a blend between inuyasha and Kenshin, but it's been a decade at least so I can't recall.
