(Anonymous) 2020-09-29 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)I feel like they're going to try to make Batman a perpetually self-renewing property like James Bond. "New actor, new lease on life" seems to be the franchise MO they're aiming for. Hell, if this one is any good, they may actually succeed. *shrugs*
I don't really know how I feel about that.

(Anonymous) 2020-09-30 03:13 am (UTC)(link)It's when series (with the same characters and actors) keep going and going and there's been like five mediocre installments that try to build on the previous one (and fail) that I get tired of something. Transformers, I'm looking at you.

(Anonymous) 2020-09-30 11:17 am (UTC)(link)That said, if they made movies that were more light-hearted, I'd be into it. I'm not joking at all when I say that the Batman movies of the ~90s are my favorite and I'm also shamefully fond of the old Adam West stuff too. As many others have said, not everything has to be grimdark grittiness and CGI. Have a little FUN!
