Non sequiteurs on YouTube

I just saw a video titled “Wake Me Up When Steamtember Hams”, and I don’t know what I did to make the algorithm suggest that, and I am morbidly fascinated. While I go watch that, what’s some weird stuff YT has shown you, with or without good reason?

for a long time youtube kept suggesting that I watch a lot of videos with Tim Conway in them. I have no idea why. I find Tim Conway about as funny as getting run over by a truck.

YouTube recommended a Zuiikin English video (the "I have a bad case of diarrhea" one). I have no idea what I looked up to get that, but I ended up watching all the videos and they all had me dying from laughter.

Youtube really wants me to watch Hook and Emma vids from OUAT, and fan reaction videos which I've never been into, and those MsMojo? or something 10 Best whatever ones.

Today it was The Real Story Of Paris Hilton. I'm guessing that's paid promo but I can't tell you how unlikely I am to watch that.

Hook and Emma vids Blech. They were tied with the show's writing generally for what made me quit watching.

This past week, YT has been recommending all kinds of clips from Modern Family. I haven't watched that show since the first season. I have zero curiosity about what's happening on the show now. I can't think of any other sitcoms I've been watching clips of lately; I usually only use YT to listen to music. It's weird.

About 10-15 years ago, it showed me some guy's girlfriend pretending her stomach was a butt (she would bunch it up to make it look like cheeks and pretend to make it "poop" out items).

I honestly don't know what the fuck suggested to Youtube I was into anything resembling that, and am glad reccs are so much improved now. Even if it's a little creepy how well it can read your mind at times.

YT occasionally tries to get me to watch CinemaSins, which I hate...
At the moment my recs include a video on why BoJack Horseman is the best thing ever (never watched a single episode, but okay), Thai horror movies are underrated (I don't watch horror at all), and a mixed assortment of comedians I've never head of.
