Re: What Inspires You?

The idea of helping people. Actually being able to help people. Other lawyers being out there, making a difference, helping their clients. RBG and others who have changed the law for the better and inspire me to be a good lawyer. Other historical figures who have made a difference and stood up for what was right and helped other people even when it was difficult.

Certain shows, movies, and books inspire me to make a difference as well. I rewatch/reread them when I get in dark places or start to feel uninspired.

Clients inspire me. The horrific things they've gone through and still manage to remain strong and want to fight to be able to stay here in America for themselves and their families.

And, weirdly, there are some characters I've made up in my head that inspire me. Like, they are in some ways the ideal version of me, sort of. Like the best possible traits of things I'd like to be or things I think I could be, things I can work towards. A bigger version, a world saving version of what I could do on a much, much smaller scale.
