Anyone watching the new Great British Bakeoff season so far? I'm actually really liking it - I was really skeptical about Matt Lucas but he's honestly been great, and it has a really cheerful vibe that I like.

(but also, Sura's going to win, right? she's gotta be the favorite)

I just watched Biscuit Week last night. I'm...on the fence re: Matt Lucas, but still enjoying it quite a lot.

Anybody here watch Korean Englishman or Jolly?

The first video that I watched was from Jolly, where they tried snacks from Trader Joe's. After that, I began watching the rest of their videos from both channels during quarantine. I've had many laughs and tried more Korean foods.

Assassin's Creed 3

I've been playing AC3 and it's better than I expected, but I can see why the fandom didn't take to it. Are there any AC fans around? Anyone who doesn't mind me babbling at them? Because I have some feelings.

[also I'm sad at how much of the fanfic is total NOTP stuff]

I'm sorry if I missed you, but here goes:
- I can see why it tends to be ignored by the fanbase for a few reasons: AC2 was so very popular and Ezio was so charismatic, and everyone went wild for pirate assassins in AC4, AC3 is just sort of... the awkward middle child? But I'm still enjoying myself for the most part.
- I hate that Ratonhnhaké:ton doesn't get called by his real name for the vast majority of the game. I hate that a whole lot. Especially following directly after Altaïr Ibn-LaʼAhad and Ezio Auditore da Firenze, both of whom were called by their actual names!
- I am enjoying running through the forests ♥
- I don't love the skinning animals function :c
- It's... it's really hard for me to care about the whole 'American Revolution' element? Which might be because I'm not American, but honestly I've been skipping so many cut scenes because I just want to go back to running through the forest.
- I can pat DOGS and CATS and COWS and GOATS!!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
- I usually don't give a toss about what other people ship... but for real, why is Ratonhnhaké꞉ton/Haytham so popular? Genuinely don't get it.
- By the time I finish the game I'm probably going to be pouty enough over the lack of fic to write my own.

Thoughts on the current situations?

Who is blowing up everyone's heads?!

Will Becca still be there for her kid?
I get the feeling Butcher is gonna help her get her son back (of course, despite his reservations). Provided the kid isn't totally brainwashed into hating his mom. I honestly don't doubt Billy would seriously consider offing the kid if he ever threatened Becca.

What's the plot with the Church/pseudo Scientology/ I'm mad Eagle Archer got shafted like that and The Deep clearly hasn't put on his big boy pants yet.

I'm here for the Frenchie & Kimiko progress. I want MM to get to his family safely at the end of all this.

I'm mad about how they killed off Black Noir (whose face we never saw, but the actor who played him is attractive lol)...it was just so... pedestrian? But I guess it figures. Sad for Maeve, but lol Elena, you get what you asked for (I wanna know the real you).

I'm not sure how people discuss shows, but here we are!

Final thoughts:
I will say, this show flipped the switch for me regarding Karl Urban. I never liked his face until his show. And now I just want more.

Haven't watched the show, but I've seen countless gifs. Can you tell me the story of the baby with the laser eyes? Did they kill it?

UHM...oh that was some S1 stuff. I really don't recall. I don't think they killed it.

Essentially, that scene is when the Boys (the vigilantes) discover that this pharmaceutical company named Vought is pumping a serum/chemical called "compound V" into babies in order to manufacture superheroes (the current narrative being omg you're so special, you have powers what a blessing but as of S2 the world discovers that compound V is a thing, parents get paid off to have their babies get injected. But there's a lot of other things going on.

Feel free to discuss actual OW stuff, but after months of reading fic featuring Jesse and suddenly remembering Josh Hartnett played the cowboy/werewolf in Penny Dreadful, my mind is suddenly mixing the two. And I ain't mad about it...
