Transwomen are women in gender, but not sex. Not biologically. Not at a glance. Not when you're afraid.

They're women in everything but that, and unless the transition is far along, and they're lucky, you can still tell at a glance that they have male anatomy, because we're hardwired that way. Humans have sexual dimorphism.

Transwomen still have the strength and silhouette of men, which, like it or not, is still frightening to plenty of abuse survivors and women in general.

It isn't transphobic to point that out.

Likewise, transmen aren't suddenly big brave fellas. I'm tiny. I'll never not be scared of cismen and as much as I feel for them, transwomen can look at a glance like cismen, just like I'm going to get mistaken for a girl forever because of my build, height, facial features.

So stop being an obtuse dipshit.

-sincerely, a transperson.

NAYRT
Perhaps this isn't my lane, but there are big cis women and small cis men, too. I'm a big cis woman who sometimes gets misgendered at a glance. There are definitely transwomen out there daintier than I, because there are cis men out there daintier than I. The idea that transwomen are categorically too big and intimidating to be in spaces where I would still be allowed seems illogical to me.

*applauds* What there should be, is better facilities for trans people fleeing violence.

My wife is 5'10" (used to be 6' but she has degenerative disc disease) and 300+ lbs and built like a fucking brick house, is flat-chested and broad-shouldered. Her ~silhouette~ is ~that of a man~.

You'd probably think she's a man because of your stupid shitty stereotypes. Congrats, your transphobic asshole rhetoric hurts cis women.

So she should not follow anyone in the dark, same as men. Simply as that.

"At a glance" Oh so we're master clockers now.
