Which puts you, personally, several steps ahead from the vast majority of fandom right now where trans rights seems to start and stop with JKR.

It's not like I typically talk about my political phone calls or my charity donations in fandom spaces, though. (I do sometimes share links to petitions.) If you saw my criticism of Rowling, you'd almost certainly assume that I wasn't doing anything else for trans rights either.

So there's really no way to be sure that the "vast majority of fandom" isn't acting the same as me. It feels like they probably aren't, because we only engage with fans in limited contexts where they don't usually share that kind of info, but that's not proof of anything.
