That is part of it, yeah. I create and share porn online, in locked communities, where it belongs. And I must say it's a breath of fresh air to not go to tags for canons intended for a child audience and see untagged porn of the characters right there. Still happens, but definitely not as often as it used to. I still remember looking up pokemon fanart on tumbrl with my little sister and seeing a ton of bestiality porn, and that's with the safe search on, because people didn't think to tag their porn properly. Nowadays that isn't as common and antis are a big reason for it. People have become less reckless about where and how they post their porn. I wish the anits would just end it at making angry posts instead of harrassing people, but again: the number of antis who are harrassers are about the same as the number of anti-antis who think nothing of making a sexy photomanip of child characters and posting it untagged for all to see because "it's about the characters not about the actors!!!" even though the images used are photos of the actors.

NAYRT You're swerving all over the place with your argument here. Keeping your erotic fanfic/art locked down on social media or appropriately tagged on AO3 is surely just common fucking sense.

I wish it were, but for many people, it's not. Those people are the only ones I have a problem with. I'm cool with people who kink responsibly, I'm one of them myself.
