The current regime always ends, but it’s ending-variable how. The bloodiest is if you never manage to ascend any of your teammates.

Fair--I think my first run I managed to ascend only my teammates, so my impression was the revolution being peaceful, which is why I don't really consider it as a 'collapse'. But still, as far as collapsing world goes, Pyre's setting has it easier than the literal world-ending setting of Bastion and Transistor.
