It's been a long time since I've seen The Wicker Man. I'd be interested in hearing more about what creeped you out, OP.

Not OP But for me it was the set up of that society, and how as soon as you're chosen your fate is marked and everyone is so happy for it to happen even in the face of your terror and the horror of your death. The ending where he dies so horrifically and you hear him screaming against the sounds of them celebrating.

And the very worst thing was how very painfully human it all was.

Same, I liked the weird vibe of the movie, the songs, and then the ending actually made me feel upset. The animals, and the screams. It was horrible. I really don't like watching people or animals suffering.

Also not OP, but it creeped me out too. The whole feel of it and the end stuck with me for way longer than I would have liked (have also only seen it once, will probably never watch it again)
