If I dislike a work that no-one else is talking about, I accept my dislike and move on.
If I dislike a work that everyone else dislikes, I move on.
If I dislike a work that is being praised by those around me, especially if it's being praised for something I specifically find lacking (like the endlessly debatable 'good representation'), it will annoy me until the sun burns out. I really, really wish I could just get over it.

TBH, this is 99% of people on the Internet and it's why so many conversations on the Internet turn into vicious waves of backlash and counter-backlash

'Good representation' is so highly subjective though and a big reason why fandom is so divided in 2020.

Honestly I highly prefer this attitude than people who dislike something but change their mind to defend a work when they hear that most people don't like it.

AYRT - I was specifically thinking of Enola Holmes when I wrote that, but you don't have to use that. There's a lot of things that would work just as well 'cos I'm a grump -_-"
