I'm 33 and I like a few of Miley's songs, including this one. It got a lot of hate it didn't deserve, IMO.

Also, my current OTP got me really into pop songs. Like, I Wanna Be With You by Mandy Moore, and I'd Rather Be In Love by Michelle Branch, and a bunch of Taylor Swift's unreleased demos from when she was 15/16. Stuff I'm kind of embarrassed to admit I'm into. But at the same time, I love it. I love that my ship gives me this access point through which I can totally vibe on all these crush-heavy love bops.

Thank you nonny! It's one of my faves off that album. Have you listened to her 2017 album Hopeless Romantic? It's surprisingly good. Not mind-blowing or anything, but it gave me that intense nostalgia hit of being fourteen and listening to Spirit Room, while also feeling a little bit more mature.

i haven't but i'll check it out! your comment actually had me playing that and my personal favorite from that album (here with me). i didn't even tap into hotel paper but that was another favorite of mine.
